Gravel Gardens for our Changing Climate

Thursday, September 12
9 a.m. – noon

$32/$40

New! Given the impacts of climate change, environmentally conscious gardeners are looking for better ways to garden. Learn how to replace conventional lawns, expensive annual plantings, and labor-intensive perennial beds with easy-to-maintain gravel gardens that require little water, no fertilizer or other chemicals, no organic mulches, and less time and money to maintain. Gravel gardens can be as colorful as any other perennial planting, provide food and habitat for pollinators and other insects, and require up to 80 percent less maintenance than a traditional perennial planting. A Garden walk is included. Dress for the weather.
