Garden members do not need to preregister—they are invited to visit at any time.

Nonmembers must preregister for a timed entry. We hope to provide a better visitor experience for everyone. Per Illinois state mandate: Wear a mask indoors.

Parking

Nonmembers must preregister for timed entry. You only need to register for your car, not the number of people who will be visiting. We are limiting the number of cars, and people, to create a better visitor experience for all. Garden members no longer need to preregister; they are invited to visit any time.

The Garden would like to thank our active duty U.S. military personnel and/or their families, reservists, and former POWs for their years of service with free parking. Please present your ID at the entry gatehouse (one car/van vehicle per entry). No preregistration necessary.

Illinois primary and secondary educators receive free parking weekdays only, except Wednesdays. This is not applicable during weekends and evening ticketed events (e.g., Night of 1,000 Jack-o’-Lanterns, Lightscape). Please present your ID at the entry gatehouse (one car/van vehicle per entry). No preregistration necessary. 

As part of the Museums for All program, any visitor with a state-issued EBT card (known as a LINK card) is eligible for a reduced parking fee rate of $10 per passenger vehicle. Must show valid EBT card upon entry. One card per vehicle. Present proof of eligibility at the entry gatehouse. No preregistration necessary.

The Chicago Public Library offers Kids' Museum Passports to a number of public institutions, including the Chicago Botanic Garden. To learn about the program, visit the CPL Bibliocommons. Present proof of eligibility at the entry gatehouse. No preregistration necessary.

Parking fees are included in the preregistration fees for school groups. Parking fees are not included for special events.
