Market Boxes
This unique offering allows members to enjoy fresh, hyperlocal produce while supporting sustainable urban agriculture. Subscribers will receive five curated market boxes during the summer and fall growing seasons, from June through October. Each monthly box features a handpicked selection of seasonal produce and unique varieties grown with care at our urban farms on Chicago's West and South Sides.
What’s in the Box? Each market box includes a vibrant assortment of 10 – 12 freshly harvested vegetables, herbs, and greens, reflecting the best of the season. Produce may include:
Leafy Greens:
- Arugula
- Bok choy
- Collards
- Head lettuce
- Kale
- Mustard greens
- Spinach
- Swiss chard
Fruiting Vegetables:
- Cucumber
- Eggplant
- Hot peppers

Pickup Details: Market boxes will be available for pickup at the Welcome Plaza at the Chicago Botanic Garden (1000 Lake Cook Road Glencoe, IL 60022) on designated dates June through October. In the event of inclement weather, boxes will be available for pickup at the Gift Shop.
All boxes must be picked up during the designated pick-up window—any leftover boxes will NOT be held for later pickup. If you are unable to pick up your box, you may allow friends or family to pick it up.

Windy City Harvest is limited in capacity to work with food pantries, restaurants, and wholesale buyers. Our produce is sustainably grown on GAP-certified urban farm sites in Chicago.
