Whether your goal is to enhance your tai chi skills, improve your well-being, or you are simply interested in the internal arts, this class will provide a strong foundation for your practice. Explore a combination of fundamental trainings of major Chinese internal martial arts including Xingyiquan (Hsing Yi), Baguazhang (Pa Kua) and Taijiquan (Tai Chi). We will also introduce the Yiquan training system. Instead of fixed sequential forms, the curriculum focuses more on the essential principles, fundamental drills, and practice methods. It provides a detailed study into effective methods of postural alignment, unified body use, and a coherent method of building health while uniting the mind and body. Designed for all levels of experience. Class location is indoors and varies between Regenstein Center spaces.
