Submit photos to the prestigious International Garden Photographer of the Year competition and exhibition, coming to the Garden in 2023! Contest submissions are now open, with winning entries to be displayed in the Regenstein Center beginning next April.

International Garden Photographer of the Year aims to connect people with gardens, plants, and the natural world through photography, showcase the beauty of a green planet, and champion photography as an art form and mode of communication. Its annual exhibition launches at the UK’s Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, with photos exhibited worldwide at cultural and horticultural venues and published in the latest IGPOTY book.

The exhibition is formed from the winners of the annual competition, which runs July 1 – October 31, 2022. The Chicago Botanic Garden’s exhibition of winning photos will open in April 2023 and run for three years in the Regenstein Center’s Krehbiel Gallery, Nichols Hall, and Joutras Gallery.

We encourage all nature photography enthusiasts to submit their photos of the Chicago Botanic Garden to the contest for a chance to be displayed here and around the world. Prizes will be awarded to winning entries at the international level, and the Chicago Botanic Garden will offer its own prizes to participants representing the Garden.
