New! Students will draw plant specimens presented in a simulated natural habitat, plein-air style, in the Garden's Arid Greenhouse that presents a huge variety of rare plants for inspiration. Students will work in the media of their choice (graphite, colored pencil, watercolor, pastel) with emphasis placed on achieving accurate studies leading to finished work featuring uncommon plants. Topics covered will include the value of plein air drawing plus managing the challenges presented by drawing plants in the field. Previous drawing experience is strongly recommended, but students will work at their individual level, with instructor coaching. The School’s CEUs=15 hours
