The natural world has a story to tell once we learn to read the clues. Scientists use this information to tell natural stories about the environment and conduct environmental impact studies. Using cross-cutting concepts and signs in nature, learn how animal tracks and holes in trees tell us about interactions, and how the types and numbers of organisms suggest something about the health of an ecosystem. The activities and investigations enable students to interpret what they find outdoors like a real scientist.
