Fooled Me Daylily

'Fooled Me' daylily has golden bronze blooms with a deep red eye and matching crimped pie crust edging on the petals. The 5 ½” flowers last 16 hours and blooms early to mid-season. It is attractive to hummingbirds and butterflies while resisting rabbits. Although each flower lasts only one day, there are multiple buds on each stalk and several stalks on each plant. The buds open in series, so a single plant will continue to bloom for 2 weeks or more. The plant is easy to grow and does well in full sun to part shade. 'Fooled Me' is considered a "designer" daylily with exceptional bloom performance, vibrant flowers and excellent winter hardiness.

It had been awarded the Stout Silver Medal Award in 2005.
