Manchustriped Maple

This is another snake bark maple. It is native to eastern Russia, northeast China and Korea. At maturity it can reach a height of 35 feet and a width of 25 feet. While its vase-like habit is beautiful, its most striking feature is its striped bark of green with white and blue green highlights. While some snake bark maples start losing their stripes as they mature, this maple tends to keep its striping much longer. It prefers dappled shade in moist, well-drained soil.
