Royal Highness Hybrid Gasteraloe

Gasteraloe ‘Royal Highness’ is another rare hybrid between two genera. Recent research has revealed the parents are Gasteria and Aloe. The Gasteria side of the family tree provides the stomach-shaped flowers and the green leaves with white tubercles. The Aloe side of the family provides the deep green leaves and the pink shading to green flower color. Both Gasteria and Aloe are native to southern Africa. Tolerant of very dry conditions and varying light levels in winter, they prefer very well- drained soil in full sun.
