Superb Globeflower

Superb globeflower is a perennial whose showy lemon-yellow flowers bloom in the late spring. Known as a buttercup, the solitary, double-petaled flowers extend well above the foliage, with petals curving inward around a cluster of stamens to form a globe atop olive green stems. The leaves are a glossy dark green, each with five to six lobes. Globeflower prefers rich moisture-retentive soil and partial shade.
