Japanese Burnet

Japanese burnet forms soft clumps of gray-green compound leaves and has a tidy, fern-like appearance. In summer, slightly arching spikes emerge from the foliage and are covered with multitudes of tiny rosy pink flowers at the top, resembling bottle brushes. Use this plant beside ponds and streams, in woodland gardens or as a ground cover. Japanese beetles may mar the foliage. This is a gently elegant beauty for the woodland garden.
