Ghislaine de Feligonde Rambling Rose

'Ghislaine de Feligonde' is a rambler rose that was introduced in 1916 by French rose fancier Eugene Turbat. It received a Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit. The flowers grow in clusters starting in June, continuing sporadically until a hard frost. The buds are deep apricot, opening to an apricot-and-gold blend. As they age, they become larger, fading to white with pale yellow bases. This shrub produces long, arching canes 8 to 10 feet long. It can be trained on a trellis or allowed plenty of space to grow. It produces small thorns along the flowering stems. The red rose hips are decorative and relished by birds.
