Nor'easter Poplar

Nor’easter poplar is a deciduous oval-shaped tree that grows to 70 feet tall and 45 feet wide. A fast-growing tree with heart-shaped leaves that turn yellow in the fall, it can survive 60 years and it is extremely adaptable, tolerating disease, wind damage, drought, and urban pollution. Plant Nor’easter poplar in full sun where it will provide shade and serve as a wind break, but not too close to a house—it has an aggressive root system—or under power lines.
