Luna Pink Swirl Rose Mallow

Hibiscus moscheutos 'Luna Pink Swirl' This is a dwarf cultivar of hardy hibiscus which stands only 2-3 ft high. The flowers are white with dark red centers and a pink blush at the edges. It blooms from mid summer to fall and is attractive to hummingbirds and bees while resistant to deer. The name Hibiscus came from the Greek word “hibiskos” that meant “marshmallow.” The sticky root or stem of some plant in the mallow family was used at one time to make marshmallow confections.
