Red Ribbons Daylily

Red Ribbons daylily has huge bright red flowers with greenish yellow throats. The flowers measure 8 inches across and sit on top of tall 42-inch high foliage. The flowers have distinctly long thin petals, a form that is referred to as spider. This is a stunning addition to any garden. In milder climates, the foliage is green all year round. Although each flower lasts only one day, there are multiple buds on each stalk and several stalks on each plant. The buds open in series, so a single plant will continue to bloom for 2 weeks or more. It is easy to grow and does well in full sun to part shade. Red Ribbons received the Harris Olson Spider Award, Honorable Mention, and Award of Merit from the American Hemerocallis Society.
