Kindly Light daylily has large, yellow-green, spider flowers but no fragrance. The blooms appear in mid-season and stay open for 16 hours or more. In milder climates the foliage is green all year round. Although each flower lasts only one day, there are multiple buds on each stalk and several stalks on each plant. The buds open in series, so a single plant will continue to bloom for 2 weeks or more. It is easy to grow and does well in full sun to part shade. Kindly Light has been awarded the Harris Olson Spider Award as well as Honorable Mention by the American Hemerocallis Society.
