Happy Returns Daylily

Happy Returns daylily has 3-inch pale yellow flowers that bloom profusely in early summer. It may continue to re-bloom until frost. The blooms are open at least 16 hours before closing. In milder climates, the foliage is green all year round. Although each flower lasts only one day, there are multiple buds on each stalk and several stalks on each plant. The buds open in series, so a single plant will continue to bloom for 2 weeks or more. It is easy to grow and does well in full sun to part shade. In 1992 Happy Returns was awarded Honorable Mention by the American Hemerocallis Society in 1992.
