Yao Ming Citron Daylily

Daylily (Hemerocallis citrina 'Yao Ming') has a bright yellow trumpet shaped flower. It is unusually tall, reaching 5 ft, and is sweetly fragrant. This daylily is nocturnal, opening in the late afternoon and closing around midmorning the next day. Although each flower lasts only one night, there are multiple buds on each stalk and several stalks on each plant. The buds open in series, so a single plant will continue to bloom for 2 weeks or more. It is easy to grow and does well in full sun to part shade.
