Coneflower

PIXIE MEADOWBRITE™ coneflower produces fragrant dusty pink colored 5-inch flowers from July through September and does best in full sun in well-drained soils. During the summer, the plant will attract butterflies and other pollinators. Leave the dead stems with their seedheads attached in winter and they will attract birds.

PIXIE MEADOWBRITE™ coneflower is a Chicagoland Grows® selection. Chicagoland Grows® is a plant introduction partnership of the Chicago Botanic Garden, the Morton Arboretum and the Ornamental Growers Association of Northern Illinois formed to promote plant cultivars that perform well in northern Illinois. This variety was developed at the Chicago Botanic Garden; it was selected for its dwarf size, abundant blooms, vigorous growth habit and drought tolerance.
