Century Plant

Nothing is more striking than the tall robust flowering spikes of the century plant. Despite the common name, flowering is more frequent when the plant is supplied with adequate moisture and nutrition. Pollinated by bats the flowers have a musky scent. Full sun and adequately drained soils are key. Smaller plants make ideal landscape accents in containers.
