New! This immersive introduction to tree identification provides a half-day outdoor experience to develop and hone your skills in tree recognition. Learn the fundamental concepts used in dendrology—the scientific study of trees—while examining some of the area’s most common trees. Leave class with a solid foundation for observing and describing the trees you encounter every day, with recommendations for resources and strategies to improve your own independent study. Class will be held outdoors and will include a half-hour break. Bring a bagged lunch or snack. Dress for the weather.
