Soft, creamy yellow, semi-double flowers appear from spring into early summer on this hardy perennial adapted to moist soils in full sun to lightly shaded locations. This genus contains chemicals in the leaves that deter rabbits and deer. Foliage can be cut back after flowering to encourage a second flush of fresh clean leaves.
