Huntington Garden Mexican Sage

Larger than normal spikes (for a sage) of rich blue flowers are surrounded by furry, dark purple calyces on this late summer to early winter bloomer. The plant can grow up to 8 feet if not cut back hard earlier in the growing season. Not hardy in this area; plant in full sun in moderately rich soils and water whenever the attractive heart-shaped leaves begin to wilt. Not bothered by rabbits or deer.
