Red Castor Bean

Pale yellow flowers in summer mature into deep crimson red fruit in fall. Dark reddish green leaves and dark red stems are showy throughout the growing season. All parts of this plant are poisonous if eaten. Good plant if gophers are a problem in that the roots discourage them from digging nearby.
