Lilac Lollipop Beebalm

SUGAR BUZZ™ Lilac Lollipop Beebalm

Lilac Lollipop beebalm is developed from a native beebalm and grows to about 20 inches feet and 2 feet wide. As befits its name, it bears fragrant 2-2.5inch lilac flowers in mid-summer. It was developed to be a more low-growing and neater clumping beebalm for smaller scale gardens.

Beebalm grows in sunny or partially shady areas. If you gently rub your finger across the leaf, you'll be pleasantly surprised by its fragrance, as beebalm is used to scent Earl Grey tea. Bright pompoms of flowers bloom in midsummer, and removing faded flowers will extend flowering. Beebalm is great for attracting bees, butterflies and hummingbirds to your garden. It's easy to grow and adds a lot of color to your border. Cut back at the end of the summer, maintain soil moisture during dry periods, and avoid crowding and overhead watering to minimize powdery mildew.
