Pardon My Purple Beebalm

Pardon My Purple beebalm is derived from a north American native plant and grows to about 12 inches high and around 12 inches wide. It bears dark magenta purple flowers during mid-summer and its small size and neat habit makes it a great plant for the front of a border.

Beebalm grows in sunny or partially shady areas. If you gently rub your finger across the leaf, you'll be pleasantly surprised by its fragrance. Bright pompoms of flowers bloom in midsummer, and removing faded flowers will extend flowering. Beebalm is great for attracting bees, butterflies and hummingbirds to your garden. It's easy to grow and adds a lot of color to your border. Cut back at the end of the summer, maintain soil moisture during dry periods, and avoid watering directly onto foliage to minimize powdery mildew.
