Orienpet Lily

Lilium ’Robina’ has large red to rose pink flowers with white centers. The blooms are large, measuring 7 or more inches, and very fragrant. The stems can reach 6 ft tall when fully established. Robina is an Orienpet hybrid, a cross between an Oriental lily and a Trumpet lily which combines the tall, strong stems of the Trumpets with the fragrance and shape of the Oriental hybrids . These hybrids have an increased ability to withstand late spring frosts as well as hot summer days. The grace and beauty of this lily makes it a lovely addition to the garden. Lilies love full sun, but will do well in partial shade. They tolerate hot summer days, as long as the bulbs are deep enough to remain cool. Lower plants surrounding the lilies will help protect their roots from drying out. As a lily becomes more established, it will produce more blooms on higher stems. Lilies make an excellent cut flower with long lasting blooms and buds that continue to mature and open after cutting.
