Nepera Martagon Lily

In June and July, the elegant Martagon lilies (Lilium), one of the most shade-adapted lilies, proudly show off their small Turks cap flowers above handsome whorled foliage on 3- to 4-foot stems. The selection 'Nepera' has orange-spotted, downward-facing flowers. They make take a year or so to settle into the garden but are well worth the investment. They dislike frequent transplants.
