This Brazilian native features large pale green to cream exotically patterned petals with veins and shading in burgundy. This is a parent of many of the more unusual amaryllis that have become commercially available.

The Chicago Botanic Garden hosts this and other backup collections of non-hardy bulbs from the USDA national collection located near Miami, Florida.
