Vernal Witch Hazel

This witch hazel grows to a height of 10’-12’ and is hardy in zones 4-9. It is unusual in that it has lavender-red-purple flowers from mid-winter to early spring as opposed to the orange-yellow flowers of other members of this species. The leaves, oblong with a point, are the usual golden yellow in the fall.
