Kouga Gasteria

Inflated salmon pink tubular flowers are clumped near the tip of the short racemes in February. This dwarf rare species features gray-green leaves that are slightly warty in texture due to the exerted tubercles on the leaf surface. Slowly spreads to form a tight clump.

This species was discovered in 1991 on a vertical cliff face overhanging a recently completed dam on the Kouga River in South Africa. Easily propagated by seeds and division, it is a featured attraction of many succulent collections world-wide.
