Butterfly Bush

This cultivar was developed at the Horticultural Research Institute located in Boskoop, Netherlands. It has silvery-green foliage with pendulous cones of pink blooms that attract myriads of butterflies from early summer to mid fall. It grows to a maximum height of seven feet with full sun and moist, well-drained soil, and is great in a border or as a cutting plant. It should be pruned back periodically to enhance its growth, and the deaden flowers should be removed when in bloom to extend the bloom.
