Learn more about the genus Syringa. The species ranges from small shrubs to medium-sized trees. The beautiful flowers are generally fragrant, and plants are hardy and easy to grow. Lilacs are tolerant of a wide range of soil types including alkaline soils. A walk around the Garden to view lilacs in bloom is included.
