As Senior Manager of Conservation Impact, I tell stories, build relationships, and advance strategic priorities.
Collaborating with departments across the Garden, I help increase the impact of our conservation, restoration, and plant science programs. My main focus is supporting the Garden’s local, regional, and national efforts to increase the supply of native seed for habitat restoration.
I help manage the Plant Conservation Alliance Non-Federal Cooperator Committee and the Garden’s work to live up to its Commitment to Indigenous Communities.
I have nearly 20 years of experience as a writer, designer, and content strategist—including a decade supporting government, non-profit, and for-profit conservation organizations. At the Forest Preserves of Cook County, I helped shape communications priorities around their restoration-focused Next Century Conservation Plan, build the organization’s website and interactive map, and increase restoration and conservation storytelling efforts.
I hold a B.S. in Media Studies from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an M.A. in New Media Studies from DePaul University.
