Woollystem Thyme

This thyme species is used as a ground cover (it will tolerate light foot traffic and release a wonderful herby fragrance when stepped on). Unlike other thymes, this one isn’t suitable for cooking; the fragrance can be overpowering. It can grow to 12" tall and 18” wide. It blooms in late summer/early fall with violet purple flowers that contrast with its blue-green foliage.
