A native of the tallgrass prairie, Stout Blue-Eyed Grass is a low-growing perennial that grows ½ - 1 inch tall. Easy to grow in full sun and average soil, it produces narrow grass-like leaves and flowering stalks topped by purplish blue flowers with yellow centers in May and June. Use as a ground cover or in the perennial border.
