This clump-forming perennial reaches a height of 18 inches with full sun to partial shade and moderate moisture conditions. It has blue blooms above the handsomely divided leaves from late April through early June. It is a great selection for under the canopy of deciduous trees but can also be grown in full sun. In drier climates, it suffers from spider mites but they are rarely a problem for Chicago-area gardeners.
