Kyushu panicle hydrangea is an upright shrub that grows to a maximum height of 8 feet. It requires full sun or partial shade and moderate moisture conditions. In the summer and early fall it produces large upright panicles of white flowers. Small sterile flowers are interspersed with larger sterile flowers that are held on long stalks. The plant is useful in a border, blooming long after most shrubs are done.
