Firestorm Daylily

Firestorm daylily has vibrant, brick red, spider type blooms with golden yellow throats. The flowers are huge, measuring 8 inches in diameter, and sit atop tall 36-inch stalks. This culitvar is a striking addition to any garden. Although each flower lasts only one day, there are multiple buds on each stalk and several stalks on each plant. The buds open in series, so a single plant will continue to bloom for 2 weeks or more. The plant is easy to grow and does well in full sun to part shade. It was awarded Honorable Mention in 2009 by the American Hemerocallis Society.
