It grows in full sun to partial shade and moderate moisture conditions. It will retain an attractive shape with little pruning needed. From February to March it produces clusters of showy, fragrant blooms. The flowers of 'Superba' have four yellow strap-like petals emerging from a deep red calyx The gray-green summer foliage gives way to yellow in fall.
