This Heronswood Globe Katsura tree is a form of the katsura tree of China and Japan where it is grown for its seasonal beauty. In the spring the delicate heart-shaped leaves emerge and later in the fall they are scented of burnt sugar. later in the fall the leaves change color from yellow, gold pink and red.

The Heronswood Globe Katsura tree is a dwarf version of the katsura tree growing to only fifteen feet in height and width and taking a more rounded and dense form than is usual. it requires consistently moist soil and is not tolerant of drought so supplemental watering during hot droughts may be necessary.
