Boltonia is a spectacular addition to the late-summer garden. Its tall, sturdy stems and wide spread give it an almost shrublike presence in the perennial border. Willowlike, dainty blue-green foliage sets off its myriad of daisy flowers, which may be white, lilac, or purple with yellow centers. Plant it as an accent plant or a backdrop for early perennials.
