<p>When it's in bloom, you can see how WINE & ROSES® <em>Weigela<em> got its name. The flowers, beginning in April and continuing into June, are a rosy deep pink. And the foliage is a dramatic burgundy. At about 5 feet tall and wide, it's also considerably more compact than its parent, <em>Weigela</em> florida, making it a better fit for smaller gardens. </p>

<em>Weigela</em>, ad so do gardeners. For a plant that gives
you so much to look at, they're very easy to care for. No particular
disease or pest problems. No special soil requirements. Just give them
good drainage, reasonable moisture, and plenty of sun. Prune after
spring bloom...fall pruning puts  next year's flowers at risk.
