Misty-blue flowers appear from July to September on silver stems above gray-green foliage on this rugged perennial. Plant in full sun in average soils and water only enough to establish the root system. Pollinators love the nectar-rich flowers while deer avoid the fragrant foliage. A tough plant for hot, dry locations that get very cold in the winter—after all, its parents hail from the cold, dry steppes of Central Asia.
