Whitecrack Willow
The whitecrack willow is a naturally occurring hybrid from central Europe. It is an exceptionally tall-growing willow capable of reaching sixty feet in height although forty feet is more typical. The new growth is reddish in color and the flowers which appear early in spring are yellowish-green. Like most willows it prefers a sunny position in moist to wet soils.
