The registered name for Lavaglut® floribunda rose (Rosa 'Korlech') translates from German into "lava flow." Deep red—almost black—flowers are produced from mid-June to mid-October on a short (3-foot-tall) disease-, heat-, and rain-tolerant rose with an upright growth habit. The flowers are, unfortunately, not fragrant. Plant this rose in full sun and provide space around the plant for air movement—an important element in disease prevention.
