Upright Blue Scots Pine
Upright blue Scots pine is slow-growing with ascending branches and a narrow columnar form. The foliage is gray-blue, and older specimens exhibit orange-brown exfoliating bark. It prefers full sun in well-drained soil and will grow to 10 feet tall by 3 feet wide in 10 years. It is extremely cold-hardy to minus 50 degrees Fahrenheit, and is appropriate for USDA zone 2.
