Snowflake Moss Phlox
Phlox subulata ‘Snowflake’ is commonly known as a moss phlox or creeping phlox. It grows only 6 inches high, forming a dense cushion of dark green foliage 18 inches wide that will cascade over a wall. It blooms in spring with a showy display of pure white flowers. Plant it in full sun. It is resistant to deer and is hardy in zones 3 -8. The genus name is from the Greek word phlox meaning flame in reference to the many bright colors of some varieties.
