Queen Lily
Deep rose flowers are separated from the green tips by a narrow band of yellow. Multiple pendant flowers per inflorescence. The undersides of the leaves often are silvery. Grow in a frost free environment in humus rich soils and provide 2 months of cool dry dormancy to initiate flowering.
Native to Ecuador where it is considered endangered due to small population sizes. This accession is one of many backup collections from the USDA National collection near Miami, Florida that the Chicago Botanic Garden maintains to replace the originals in event of a disaster.
